The average FPL manager has scored 299 points across Gameweeks 1 to 5 of 2026/27, with Gameweek 5 finished. If your total is above 299, you're ahead of the average manager. Below it, you're behind.

Gameweek 2 is the outlier. It has both the highest average (81) and the highest top score (161) of the five. Gameweek 5 has the lowest average, 48, and the gap between the average and the top score barely moves: between 68 and 82 points every week.
How to read your own score against this. Add up your five gameweek scores and compare the total to 299. Then check it week by week against the table. One week 30 points under the average and five weeks 6 points under add up to the same total. They have different fixes. Look for one decision in the first case, and at the squad in the second.
How your captain compares. Erling Haaland has been the most-captained player in all five gameweeks. He scored 2, 13, 9, 9 and 6. Doubled, that's 78 points from the armband for anyone who followed the crowd every week. If your captains scored more than 78 across the five, your armband beat the game's most popular choice.
What this cannot tell you. The FPL API does not publish the full distribution of scores, only the average and the single highest. That means this page can place you against the average manager, not against a percentile — "You're above average" is a fact this data supports. "You're in the top 10%" is not, and no public rank distribution exists to support it.
